Questions

Can I attend Shelton State and be a Band Manager?: Yes. If you are full-time student at Shelton State and register for either MUA 153 or MUA 353, you can be a Band Manager. Anyone interested in being a Band Manager must be a full-time student.

Are there any conditioning requirements? Yes. You should be able to perform the assigned duties which take place during band camp, rehearsal, game-day, and trips, which sometimes means carrying heavy equipment and/or a good deal of physical exertion in hot and humid or very cold conditions.

Do I need to attend marching band rehearsal each day and when does that take place? Marching Band rehearsal takes place from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You are allowed to miss one day of band per week due to a class conflict.
